ANNUAL REPORT-2022-23

Honourable Chief Guest of this occasion, beloved Guest of Honour, esteemed President, illustrious Correspondent ,higher officials & Union leaders of the The Ramco Cements Limited  ,Office bearers of Gents & Ladies club , distinguished members of the gathering , dear parents , teachers and affectionate students  a warm good evening all. The pleasure is mine in presenting the 10^th Annual Report of Ramco Vidyalaya for the academic year 2022-23.

School strength and staff particulars:

• The school is managed by The Ramco Cements Ltd, Educational and Charitable Trust and is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. It is to quote worthy that our school is a 5s certified school. Our school has classes from KG to XII with a strength of 1490 students and  70 qualified and trained  teachers. Exclusive attention is paid to each student to tap out their potentials .
• 95 students appeared for the AISSE in March 2022.We have achieved 100% pass. Kumari B.Dhivya Bharathi secured the first position with 483/500 , Kumari P.M.Sowmya Pandysrisecured the Second position with 472/500 and Kumari P.M.Sandhya Devi secured the Third position with 465/500. With regard to first batch of class XII 69 students appeared for the AISSCE in March 2022. We have achieved 100% pass.  Master N.Ajay secured first position with  456/500 ,Master K.S.Santhosh secured the Second position with 447/500 and Master M.Praburam secured the Third position with 431/500.
• As a mark of appreciation, our management honors the toppers with cash award and certificates . This academic year 115 students are appearing for the AISSE and 83 students are appearing for AISSCE in March 2023.
• Many students have joined reputed Technical ,Medical and paramedical institutions.  Master P.Ashok kumar, kumari J.Sanjitha have cleared NEET and they are pursuing their MBBS course in Trichy & Salem Medical colleges respectively. Kumari  D.Aarthy has got admission in MBBS  in Sri Venkateswara Medical College ,Pondichery.

Scholastics in our school:

• Ramco Vidyalaya offers a unique spectrum of curriculum , blended with scholastic and co-scholastic activities to the students.
• Personal guidance is given to each student to bring out their academic talents. To enhance the guidance, coaching classes are arranged to the slow bloomers after the school hours.
• School for the students of IX to XII start with the 0 hr at 8.30 a.m and ends with 9^th hr at 5 p.m , where the students are specially coached and are evaluated with frequent tests to check their academic standards. The coaching time is extended till 6.00 p.m. two months before the commencement of CBSE board exam for the students of  X & XII std where special and individual attention is given to the students by the faculties.
• Achievements
• Madurai Sahodaya Schools Complex is the right platform for all the budding sportsman of Ramco Vidyalaya to prove their strength. We have hosted the MSSC Skating and Cricket tournaments in our school. We have bagged the over all championship in the Roller skating competition.
• In the Carrom & Chess tournament ,many of our students actively participated in the tournament and won many prizes under the age group of  14,17 & 19 respectively  in boys & girls category .
• In the MSSC Inter school shuttle tournament our students were  declared winner under 12 age group singles and doubles runner up in singles under 17 & 19 boys and runner up in girls under 19 category.
• In Table Tennis our boys stood winners in singles & doubles and runners  under 12 doubles category .Boys won under 14 & 19 category  and girls won the under 19 category in the Hand ball tournament. In Basket ball tournament girls were declared runners .
• In Foot ball tournament boys stood runners under 17 & 19 category.Under 19 boys of our school won the Kabaddi tournament.
• In the Volley ball tournament our school under 19 boys won the winners cup in the MSSC Inter school competition .
• Our under 19 boys had  participated in the CBSE Cluster Volley ball tournament held at Sivaganga they bagged  the 8^th position out of 116 teams that participated across Tamilnadu, Pondichery and Andaman Nicobar Islands .Our students are going to participate  in the CBSE Cluster Roller Skating tournament which is scheduled to be held on 27^th Dec 2022.
• Master G.Akhil Sethu of III std got FIDE (International Chess Federation )  rating of 1073 in under 11 Tamilnadu state championship held at Villupuram from 24^th to 28^th Aug 2022.In the 44^th FIDE Chess Olympiad organized by Virudhunagar district Chess Association with the support of Govt of Tamilnadu, he has secured first position under the age group of 8 & 11 category and currently he is the youngest FIDE rated Chess player of Virudhunagar District.
• Our students have participated in the Inter school yoga competition held at Visaka School, Madurai .We are proud ,that many students won prizes .
• In the karate belt test conducted by Self Defence Academy ,School of Martial art  ,  9 students got black belt, 01   student   got  yellow belt and  another student got orange belt and 51  students received  white  belt.
• We have started the  ATL lab sponsored by Atal Innovation Mission a Central Govt Project. Students have participated in various competitons and workshops. Our students have actively participated in the ATL Marathon 2020 & 2021,In the Robotzindia Version 7.0,our students namely Master P.Sarvesh & S.S.Vikash of XII std   secured first place in the Robo Football competition organized by RAAIF and hosted by Anna University, Chennai.Our students  Master H.Md.Lisan of IX std  secured second prize in the Tech talks Tamilnadu Robotics League held at Sastra University,Tanjore. Two students namely K.Dharun Aditya     and M.Mahesh Rithika of VIII std    received  Space Champions certificate organized by Atal Innvation Mission and ISRO.
• One of the teams got consolation prize of Rs.5000/- in the Transforming India Conclave held at SSVM school, Coimbatore .Our students have actively participated      two students were declared  winners   in the Kite Robotics in the Robozest 2021 inter school competition.
• An international Maths competition called Brics Math competition was conducted and 11 students received winner certificates from them.Three students namely  Kumari S.Vishnu Prabha ,J.Manthra Sunthary and Master P.Rohit got qualified in the first round in the Young Scientist of India program.
• Our students of class XII  conducted ATL Python Boot camp for the class students of VI to VIII std. Students of VI to VIII std were participated in the  offline workshop on the topic Basics on Arduino and Sensor in collaboration with Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam under Institutions Innovation Council .
• Our students have also participated in the Intel online event and ATL Community Day .Our students have participated in the 3 days offline workshop on Artificial Intelligence conducted by Propeller Technologies, Trichy .
• Our students have participated in the online CBSE programmes like, Fit India Movement, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2022 and other competitions conducted by CBSE and also received instant e certificates for their participation.
• We have launched a Mathematics online enrichment programme for the students of classes VI –VII conducted by Mindspark .
• Our students participated in the Talent Show organized by S.H.N.V.School, Sivakasi where 63 schools had participated and Kumari P.M.Sowmya Pandy Sri of Class XI C has bagged first prize in the dance competition. Master Sai Evannan Karthik of XI C has secured the second position in the Drawing competition organized by Govt Museum,Virudhunagar
• National Mathematics day was celebrated on 22.12.2022 on the birth anniversary of  the great Mathematician of all times  Mr.Srinivasa Ramanujan.Our students actively participated in the puzzle contest posted daily for three days before the celebration.

Workshop for teachers:

• To well equip our faculty members and to update the system of CBSE our teachers  attend Capacity Building Programmes organized by CBSE,Centre of Excellence, Chennai at regular intervals. To adopt technical teaching methodologies, workshops are conducted periodically by the management. Our teachers regularly attend the Subject wise Training programmes arranged by MSSC.
• Madam Chairman has selected our school among the Rajapalayam group schools of our management to give a new dimension in the style of teaching under the title Teachers Professional Development – TPD@scale. Twenty teachers from our school are in the training period.
• Motivational programme for students:
• Motivational programme on the topics Emotional intelegence, leadership qualities ,Human values was conducted for the students IX to XII std by Nikhil Foundation in our school premises.

Facilities:

• It is a well known fact that “Practice makes man perfect”. Our school  provides platforms exclusively for practical class in almost all the subjects.
• The Activity lab in our KG block caters all facilities for the development of cognitive skills of our blooming scholars. To keep them happy and occupied the students have different types of celebrations in their campus and provid them with conceptual class rooms.
• The KG block has an  exclusive out door and indoor play areas for strengthening their Physical and mental fitness. The Math lab in our school is equipped with all modern kits set up to sharpen the students mental caliber.
• We have a Science Park and labs that kindle the Scientific temperaments of the students. We are in the process of establishing the Adventure park and Social Science lab in our school premises.
• A full fledged internet broad band fibernet connection for conducting online NEET & JEE exams in our Computer labs.
• A tie up with Beehive Communicative Club  has developed  a better communication skills and enriched the fluency of English among our students. A huge library with vast number of books on different genres is largely used by our students.
• To make learning interesting, the school has installed the classes with Tata digital boards. The school has given ample space for the upliftment of co scholastic activities and as such the sports and games, the students  are given entire care and coaching for their sportsmanship.
• The newly established Animal park in the school premises especially for the fun of KG  kids as well as primary children & parents gives a feel of Animal kingdom in our campus. Solar panel and 30 kv gen set are commissioned as an alternative source of energy generation for school . We have developed Herbal garden  and compost pit in the school premises
• We have introduced Mentor – Mentee system to give periodical counseling and to provide better moral support to the sensitive  students
• Art education and  the vocational training brings out the inborn talents of the students like Drawing, craft, music, yoga, karate, dance, skating , gymnastics and silambam. Our management has given a lot of space for the students apart from their scholastics to opt any two of their choice.
• We have a food court in our school premises to provide healthy food items to the students.
• NCC (National Cadet Corps):
• NCC was launched last year in our school and we have around 50 cadets in our school from classes VIII to X .Twenty one students have attended the NCC  camp at NTA ,Idayapatti, Madurai and also they excelled in various activities specially in firing and culturals that were conducted during the course of the training camp .
• Mr. M.Balamurugan, TGT Maths has successfully completed 45 days  NCC Pre Commission Camp at Officers Training Academy in Kamtee, Nagpur, Maharashtra and he has become a qualified Associate NCC Officer of our school.

Lingo Socia Expo:

• Exhibition on linguistics and Social Science was conducted on 10.12.2022 in our school.Many students from classes LKG to XII participated in the expo and exhibited various projects, presentations, short films  and models. These  were assessed by external judges and prizes were distributed.
• Every year we celebrate Environment Day , International Yoga Day, Mines day and National Education Days. Essay writing, elocution and poster making competitions were conducted at school level to motivate the students to realize the importance of these days.
• Third KG graduation Day was conducted on 08.04.2022.
• Competitive Exams:
• In order to acknowledge the students on the design of various career based competitive exams, we conduct exams like Tulir Talent Test conducted in our school for the students of classes VI to XII
• Our participated in the. National Standard Examination in Science for  Juniors & Seniors ie, from class IX to XII was conducted in our school organized by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) .Every year class X students participate in the NTSE exam.

Medical Check up:

• Covid vaccination was administered to the students VI to XII std.Kabasarakudineer and Nilavembu Kashayam were given to students at regular intervals with the support of Occupational Health Centre and HR Department of TRCL.
• Deworming tablets , DPT and TT vaccinations were administered to the students of our school by the Primary Health Centre, Kannicheriputhur. Vitamin tablets were given to the KG kids.

Safety and Hygiene measures

• The school management is very particular and concern on safety, hygiene and security of the students. Immediate constructive steps are taken by the management for the well being of the students.
• As per the latest norms of the Central & State Govt , we have installed CCTV & GPS devices in our school buses for the safety of our students.
• Periodical fumigation is done in our school premises to prevent disease causing due to mosquitoes.

Pleasure and Educational Trips:

• As it is well known that educational trips apply the students lessons to the real world and also tend to be more memorable to the students.
• The students of IX & XI  went on an educational trip to Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant .Students of class XII were taken for an educational cum pleasure trip to Mysore & Coorg. Students of IX std also had  an educational cum pleasure trip to ISRO, Trivandrum & Kanyakumari .

Sports Meet:

• The 10^th Annual Sports Meet was held on 21^st Oct 2022 . The Chief Guest of the function was Mr.R.Ananthram, International Arbiter in Chess & Vice President ,Tamilnadu State Chess Association.
• President (Mfg) & President (SMC) of Ramco Vidyalaya, Asst Vice President (acct & admin)& Correspondent Ramco Vidyalaya graced the sports meet .

Partent Teacher Association

• Indeed the flourishment of a school depends on the support rendered by the parents. The school gives due respect in holding Parent Teacher Meetings periodically for bridging the lags of the student.This academic year we had conducted PTM for KG,I&II,III to V,VI  to VIII, IX&X and XI & XII separately in different sessions. We could see a good number of parents participating in the meet. Happy parenting session was conducted for the students of X & XII std.
• On behalf of management ,I take this opportunity to thank the parents for their constant support and cooperation rendered towards the betterment of the school.
• At this juncture I express my gratitude to my staff for their profound guidance and support in the upliftment of the school. My report couldn’t accomplish without my heartfelt thanks to the management.
